The receptacle assembly 14 and the mating electrical connector 10 for a helmet mounted night vision system that includes a plug assembly 12 that. The receptacle assembly are configured to be mechanically connected, directly or indirectly, to the helmet (310) is electrically connected to the night vision device (320) mounted on the helmet.
