본 발명에 따른 해양심층수와 발전소 배출수 혹은 표층수를 이용한 다단 사이클형 해양 온도차 발전 시스템은, 발전소 배출수 혹은 표층수가 공급되는 기화기를 통하여 작동유체를 증기로 변환시킨 후 변환된 증기가 터빈을 구동시켜 전력을 생산하고, 상기 터빈을 나온 증기는 해양심층수에 의하여 응축기에서 액화되며, 펌프에 의해 순환되는 발전 사이클이 다단 설치되며; 1차 발전 사이클의 응축기를 통과한 해양심층수를 다른 발전 사이클의 응축기에 공급할 수 있도록 응축기들에 송수관이 연통되게 설치되는 것을 특징으로 한다.
