PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for caking mobile dredging sediment is provided to recycle the mobile dredging sediment as blocks, lightweight soil, or bricks according to the fixed rate of water content. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for caking mobile dredging sediment is composed of a cake transferring quantitative pump(2) and a horizontal mixer(7). Dredging sediment cake is generated in a purifying process with respect to mobile dredging sediment. A cake storing tank stores the dredging sediment cake. The dredging sediment cake is transferred from the cake storing tank to the horizontal mixer. In the horizontal mixer, the dredging sediment cake, a solidifier, cement, and further a moisture-absorbing aiding agent are mixed.
