PURPOSE: A water heating apparatus using solar heat is provided to prevent a thermal collector frozen and burst by draining the water of a thermal collector to a collection tank rather than a thermal storage tank. CONSTITUTION: A water heating apparatus using solar heat comprises a thermal collector(10) which heats water with solar heat, a thermal storage tank(30) which stores the water heated by the thermal collector, a pump(40) which supplies the water from the thermal storage tank to the thermal collector, and a collection tank(50) which is installed between the thermal storage tank and the pump and stores a part of water of the thermal storage tank. The collection tank is equipped with a constant water-level control valve(51) for maintaining constant water level.
