Lignocellulose-based product comprises an isocyanate component and a processing aid disposed on the plurality of the lignocellulose-based pieces, and those pieces. The processing aid is reacted with the isocyanate component, and comprising a graft polyol having a continuous phase and discontinuous phase, may be used to form a lignocellulose-based composite article. The processing aids, as well as the room temperature for one to give the water resistance, water-swellable, and the illuminance on the composite article for producing a composite article from the article is advantageous in providing tack. The continuous phase comprises an isocyanate-reactive component. The discontinuous phase comprises a polymer particle. The isocyanate component and the processing aid is present in the product from about 1 to about 25 parts of the combined amount by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the product. The composite article may include a variety of engineering lignocellulose-based composites, such as an oriented strand board (OSB), particle board (PB), a scrim or fiber board member.
