네트워크 부트 시스템에 있어서, 클라이언트 단말에 가상 디스크의 개정을 검지시켜, 리드 캐시 드라이버의 동작을 결정한다. 클라이언트 단말은 물리적인 기억 장치를 구비한다. 클라이언트 단말 상에서 동작하는 오퍼레이팅 시스템은, 클라이언트 단말의 로컬 버스에 대한 액세스를 네트워크에 대한 액세스로 변환하기 위한 필터 드라이버 (46) 와, 기억 장치를 구동시키기 위한 리드 캐시 드라이버 (50) 를 구비하고, 부트 서버로부터 판독 출력된 데이터를 판독 출력 캐시하는 리드 캐시 기구를 구비한다. 가상 디스크 (22a) 의 데이터와 리드 캐시 데이터의 리비전을 비교하고, 그 결과에 기초하여 리드 캐시 드라이버의 동작을 결정한다.

In the network system boot, by detecting an amendment of the virtual disk on the client terminal, it determines the behavior of the cache driver lead. The client terminal is provided with a physical storage device. An operating system operating on the client terminal, the filter driver 46 for converting the access to the local bus of the client terminal to access to the network and provided with a lead cache driver 50 for driving the memory, the boot reading out the read out data output from the server includes a cache mechanism for cache read. Comparing the revision of a data cache with the read data in the virtual disk (22a), and based on the result determines the operation of the read cache driver.
