Plasma plug for an internal combustion engine and includes a main body having an inner portion and an outer portion formed of aluminum or another metal is formed of ceramic. A first electrode and a second electrode formed of a ruthenium dioxide is arranged in the axial direction within the electrically insulating portion of the main body. Between plasma plug is disposed in the circumferential direction on the circumference of its main body, a central hole, the inner plates through a high voltage, the outer plate, the spark switch connected to a direct current generator selectively connected to the first electrode and the inner side plate and an outer plate comprising a dielectric disposed, the capacitor further comprises a toroidal donut-shaped. A resistive element connected in series to the first electrode and the second electrode is located at a lower portion of the main body. The second electrode can be grounded or floating on the ground to complete the circuit.
