The present invention generally relates to a semiconductor laser and a laser projection system. According to one embodiment of the invention, the projected laser image is generated by using the output beam of the semiconductor laser. Gain current control signal is generated by the current feedback loop gain and controls the gain section of the semiconductor laser. The wavelength variation of the semiconductor laser is disclosed by the wavelength recovery operation by integrating the drive current of the semiconductor laser, and the wavelength recovery operation as a function of the gain current control signal and the optical intensity error signal, and a reduced width.
