PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing flame-retardant polyester staple fiber using a recycled polyester resin is provided to prevent damages due to fire by obtaining a semi-permanent flame-resistive function. CONSTITUTION: An ammonium polyphosphate-based flame retardant, a thickening agent, an antioxidant, a thermal stabilizer, and a polyester resin form flame retardant master batch. The flame retardant master batch is mixed in resin flakes. The mixture is pelleted. The pellet is introduced into a screw drying unit. A drying operation and a melt-spinning operation are performed to prepare polyester staple fiber.
