PURPOSE: An anode for a solid electrolytic capacitor containing a non-metallic surface treatment is provided to improve the minimal breakdown voltage by performing dip/bake of a capacitor anode. CONSTITUTION: A capacitor component(30) comprises a front side surface(36), a back side surface(38), top and bottom sides(37,39), and a lateral side(32). An anode(34) is extended from the front of the capacitor toward a major axis. The capacitor component is comprised of an anode body, a dielectric layer, a solid electrolyte, graphite layer, and a silver layer. The end of the anode and cathode are electrically connected to an anode wire and the solid electrolyte.
