PURPOSE: A method for automatic wireless connection between a mobile terminal and a PC is provided to automatically set an SSID, a security key, and an IP through a phone number, an ESN(Electronic Serial Number)-serial number, and a MAC(Medium Access Control) address, thereby conveniently using a wireless LAN. CONSTITUTION: If an auto WLAN(Wireless Local Area Network) connection procedure is required, information of a portable terminal is obtained(205). If the information is obtained, a wireless LAN is activated after confirmation of a state of the wireless LAN(210). After the wireless LAN is set in an ad-hoc mode, the SSID(Service Set Identifier) of the wireless LAN is set through the obtained information(215,220). A security key of the wireless LAN is set through the information(225). An IP(Internet Protocol) address of the wireless LAN is automatically set through the information(230).
