PURPOSE: A method and a device for combining HARQ(Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request) data are provide to reduce power consumption and a size of a receiver by minimizing the size of an unnecessary memory. CONSTITUTION: An LLR(Log Likelihood Ratio) transform unit(102) transforms HARQ data into LLR information. An HARQ combination unit(104) stores the LLR information of the HARQ data. The HARQ combination unit combines the LLR information stored in an HARQ data memory(112) with the LLR information of the received HARQ data. An HARQ LLR information bit size controller(116) determines the compression state of the LLR information according to the estimated maximum data size. The HARQ LLR information bit size controller performs the control operation to store the LLR information. The HARQ data memory stores the transformed LLR information.
