PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and a method for controlling a push service are provided to control the overload of the network or system by setting up the access times of a wireless data network differently from each other according to the subscriber groups. CONSTITUTION: The mobile terminal for controlling a push service includes: a transceiver(210) for receiving a push message from a service server; and a controller(230) which extracts at least one parameter related to the service included in the received push message, and which calculates a subscriber group, which the mobile terminal belongs to, and then determines an access time of a wireless data network so as to obtain a constant time interval according to the calculated subscriber group.
