An image acquiring system and a method thereof are provided to extend the lifetime of a lighting device and reduce the power consumption by reducing the driving time of the lighting device. A processor comprises a control module. The control module interworks with the receiving unit exposing time of a photographing element, controls the light-emitting time of a lighting device, sets up the light-emitting start time of the lighting device so as to be identical to the exposure start time, and then sets up the light-emitting end time of the lighting device so as to be identical to the exposure end time.
