摘要：
A scanner and a control method are provided to scan both sides of a miniature manuscript when a scanner is folded and to scan a bigger than the miniature manuscript when a scanner is unfolded. A first scan unit(110) comprises a first reading part(111) reading article. A second scan unit(120) comprises a second reading part(121) which is rotatable to the first scan unit. The second scan unit moves between a folding position facing the first reading unit and an unfolding position from the folding position of the first reading unit. A moving unit(130) moves either the first reading part or the second reading part to a focusing adjustment direction or a cross direction of a transfer direction of manuscript. The controller moves the first or the second reading part according to the focusing adjustment direction. The controller controls the moving unit to maintain a focal distance to manuscript from the first reading unit and from the second reading unit.
