An optical waveguide mounting a lens for a touch panel and manufacturing method thereof is provided to improve processing efficiency by accurately locating an optical waveguide and a lens using adhesives. An optical waveguide(1) mounting a lens for a touch panel is adhered in a seating plane(21) of a lens main body(2) through an adhesives(3). A lens(22) of the lens main body contacts with a cross section(11a) of an edge part of a under clad layer(11). An adhesives accommodating groove(B1,B2) is formed in the seating plane of the lens body. In the optical waveguide, a penetration hole(A) passing through the adhesives accommodating groove is formed with a thickness direction. Adhesion by adhesives is made by using the adhesives accommodating groove and the penetration hole.
