摘要：
A multi-carrier wireless network using flexible fractional frequency reuse is provided to enable a base station to select a first sub carrier from a second predetermined sub carriers which are used by a first adjacent base station, and to assign a first sub carrier from a second predetermined set to communicate with a first subscriber station by responding to a decision that additional sub carriers are not usable in a first predetermined set. If a BS(Base Station) becomes a cell-A. Firstly, the BS selects a new subscriber station, so as to allot sub carriers in the cell-A(805). The BS determines whether at least one resource unit is available to the cell-A(810). If so, the BS allots the available resource units to an SS(Subscriber Station)(815), and determines whether more subscribers are connected(820). If the resource units are not available, the BS selects an adjacent cell for borrowing the available resource units(825). The BS borrows resource units having the highest resource set index(830). The BS determines whether more resource units are necessary or not(835). The BS assigns the borrowed resource units to the SS(840). And the BS determines whether more SS are to be connected(845).
