Fire/smoke protection zone formation system, comprising head rows formed by arranging a plurality of water curtain heads, in rows, on the ceiling surfaces or side wall surfaces of a tunnel-shaped object in the boundaries of the zones formed at specified intervals in the longitudinal direction to form water curtains by jetting water, control valves controllably opened and closed to supply pressurized water to the head rows and stop the pressurized water, and a control device controllably opening, if fire occurs, the control valves installed in the head rows positioned in the boundaries of the zones on both sides of the zones where the fire occurs to form the water curtains by jetting water from the head rows. In the head rows, the plurality of heads having the water curtain heads for spraying water with averaged particle diameters of 30 to 500 microns are disposed in rows.
