Medical needle shield apparatus is provided that includes a first segment and a stretchable shield extending therefrom. The second segment includes an opening configured for a medical needle of a medical needle device during a free space for attaching the stretchable shield to the medical needle device. The second segment defines a flat plane adjacent to its distal end. A flat surface is configured to bond the needle to place the shield in the extended position. In another embodiment, the medical needle shield apparatus has a syringe having a needle hub supporting a needle. The first segment is articulated from a collar disposed around the needle hub. The collar includes a pair of latches. Opening times water is configured to move the needle to be easily close to the height extended position in the retracted position. The second segment further includes a leading end support point in combination with a needle to facilitate extension of the shield. The catch is engageable with the latches to maintain the shield in the retracted position. The second segment has a nose portion defining a flat surface configured to engage the needle to facilitate fixing the shield in the extended position.
