PURPOSE: A hybrid vehicle drive structure with transmission and an operation method are provided to drive wheels by using a combination of an internal combustion engine and electric motors. CONSTITUTION: In a hybrid-vehicle drive structure, an output shaft(2) of an internal combustion engine(1) is connected to a first electric motor/generator(8) and a wheel drive shaft(11) via a power distribution mechanism(3), and the wheel drive shaft is connected to a second electric motor/generator(12). A transmission(100) is provided on at least one of the wheel drive shaft and a connecting portion of the second electric motor/generator with the wheel drive shaft.
