PURPOSE: To provide a durable movable iron core having a stopper positively and stably fixed and held onto an iron core, and its manufacturing method. CONSTITUTION: The movable iron core 5 for a solenoid for an solenoid valve comprises the iron core 12 having a large-diameter portion 12a formed in a preset range from the end for operation on a valve portion 2 and a small- diameter portion 12c provided ranging from the large-diameter portion 12a via a step portion 12b to the end opposite to magnetic pole surfaces 6a, 21a of fixed magnetic pole members 6, 21 and a circular stopper 13 having a large- diameter hole 13a fitted and pressed into the large-diameter portion 12a and a small-diameter hole 13c provided ranging from the large-diameter hole 13a via an engagement portion 13b abutting on the step portion 12b and fitted-in with the small-diameter portion 12c.
