PURPOSE: An absorbent article is provided to utilize a surface material having a high concealing property and being bulky as well as capable of preventing the phenomenon of re-wet. CONSTITUTION: A two-layered air-through bond non-woven fabric comprising an upper layer(2) and a lower layer(3) is used as a surface material(1) for use in a sanitary napkin or the like. Fibers constituting the lower layer of the non-woven fabric contain a larger quantity of titanium oxide than fibers constituting the upper layer, or the fibers constituting the lower layer do not contain titanium oxide. Hence, the upper layer is smooth and soft while the lower layer is bulky and provides sufficient cushioning.
