Intelligent pulse width modulation (PWM) controller to optimize the efficiency by integrating a micro-controller, PWM digital circuits and analog circuits in one integrated circuit, and remove a hot spot, and applying the SMPS system operating parameters to eliminate the fault external connection reducing the number of, and may be reduced silicon die area and an integrated circuit package. Lossless inductor current sensing techniques are integrated without causing a loss in power matching circuit in order to accurately measure the current through the power inductor of the SMPS tunable filter and the complementary intelligent SMPS controller. Complementary filter is adjusted by accurately measuring the power inductor current for precise closed-loop control, and over-current protection by the microcontroller so as to significantly improve the impact resistance of the part. Pole frequency and a gain complementary to the integrated filter can be adjusted to the fly (on the fly) on to adapt to the dynamic changes in operating conditions of the SMPS system.
