Method for separating a vertically aligned co-current contact system and impurities from the gas stream is VOM, liquid comprising an annular support ring configured to hold the vertically oriented mixer (VOM) in a vertically aligned co-current contactor (VOCC), located in series in the pipe, the pipe a plurality of radial blades configured to allow the stream to flow into said VOM; And the gas stream comprises a vertically-oriented mass-transfer section at the downstream of the VOM, the vertically oriented mixer and said VOM containing gas enters conical central portion configured to allow the flow through the hollow section within. The VOM and the vertically-oriented mass-transfer section is provided for the efficient integration of the gas stream and the droplet formed from the fluid stream. The vertically aligned co-current contact system also includes a separation system configured to remove liquid droplets.
