In embodiments of the mesh network addressing, the border router receiving the address prefixes and associated configuration information from the external network. The received address prefixes and configuration information, to enable the border router that generates provisioning domain, this domain is provisioned as well as the received address prefixes and configuration information includes a unique identifier. Border router to forward the generated provisioning domain to the reader device (leader device) of the mesh network, the reader device stores the provisioning domain and packet forwarding provisioning domain to the router so as to enable the addressing and routing in a mesh network do.
