The present invention relates to an extrusion die and associated methods thereof for the production of an extruded synthetic wood. Die comprises a die adapter, a transition die, a stranding die and a molding die. The die includes a channel adapter having a limited cross-sectional area. The stranding die comprises a longitudinal, cross-sectional area, the cross-sectional shape, or any other of the plurality of non-uniform channel in combination. Transition die is composed of a par for the stranding die to adjust the velocity of the extrusion. The specific configuration of the die upstream of the molding die is to be able to run already allow a higher compression ratio than in the molding die. Each die it described herein may be used individually by standard die known in the art. Alternatively, the die may be used in combination to form an integrated unit. The die described herein allows for producing a stronger and more consistent synthetic wood in a larger discharge rate than already available.
