Ultrasonic transducer (1) includes a metal cover (2), a resin case 3, the piezoelectric elements 4, the external connection terminals (5, 6), and a conductive rubber (7, 8). A metal cover (2) is a tubular which is open to the water feeding direction of the sound wave. Resin case (3) is tubular with a bottom opening to the front, is made of a right side surface side of the partitioning member and the partition member on the left side is held to the metal cover (2). The piezoelectric element 4 includes a piezoelectric layer and an electrode layer, and is held in the resin case (3). External connection terminals (5, 6) and a conductive rubber (7, 8) is provided between the left and right both sides with the resin case (3) of the piezoelectric element 4, and a conductive electrode layer of the piezoelectric element (4). Near the center of the right side surface and left side surface of the metal cover (2) is provided with elastically deformable portion (2B) to give an elastic force to the resin case (3).
