On-vehicle rotary electric machine includes a cover covering the opening of the pulley units and the pulley unit. The pulley unit has a hollow cylindrical shape mechanically connected to the rotation shaft. The inner peripheral surface of the pulley shaft is formed with a polygonal hole portion, the first and second circular hole portion and the internal thread formation. The cover includes a planar portion and a plurality of columns. Pillar portion extending internal thread portion formed from a flat portion, and a bulging portion bee (bulge portion) radially outwardly of the pulley shaft. The bulge portion is located in the opening position corresponding to the second circular hole portion in a state in which a flat cover.
