Swellable, there is provided an inter-spinous process implants elasticity. This includes inter-spinous process implants swellable polymer medium, the medium is a polymer dispersed throughout the implant. Implants have the two adjacent vertebrae size and shape to fit between the two spinous process between the bone and to support a space between two adjacent vertebrae. In one embodiment, the implant has a first shape of reduced size to be inserted into the patient with minimal surgical invasion. Once inserted into the target point within the patient, the implant size is expanded by a dynamically maintains the adjacent spinous process in advantageous arrays. Expandable, resilient method of manufacturing the implant between the spinous process is also provided. In addition, there is provided a method for the treatment of degenerative conditions of the spine, the method includes forming, inserting an inflatable, resilient inter-spinous process spinal implant between two bones of the spinous process both through this incision to incision.
