PURPOSE: A message error correcting method of a universal access terminal (UAT) for aerial surveillance improves a message success rate by accurately detecting an optimal sample point. CONSTITUTION: A correlation value of symbol synchronization in which a trigger is generated is detected. A message at a sample point of the correlation value is stored according to the size of the correlation value (S20). An error of some message corresponding to the sample point of the correlation value is corrected according to the size of the correlation value (S30). The correlation value includes the maximum value and a second largest candidate value.
