The present invention relates to a method of treating glioma (glioma) in a mammal using a combination of irradiation and TRAIL expression of mesenchymal stem cell delivery therapy. The present invention more specifically comprises mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) to secrete TRAIL, relates to radiation therapy for glioma treatment composition that is administered to a glioma patient receiving treatment, methods for their preparation and treatment method using the same. Human cord blood-derived transformed to secrete TRAIL provided by the present invention mesenchymal stem cells when administered after the radiation pre-treatment without causing cytotoxicity induces the apoptotic effects of the synergistic tumor. Thus, TRAIL- expressing mesenchymal stem cells according to the present invention can be utilized as a therapeutic agent glioma used with radiation treatment.
