마이크로 리액터의 구성을, 한쪽 면에 미세홈부를 구비한 금속기판과, 이 금속기판의 다른 면에 절연막을 통하여 설치된 발열체와, 미세홈부내에 담지된 촉매와, 미세홈부를 덮도록 금속기판에 접합된 원료 도입구와 가스 배출구를 갖는 커버 부재를 구비하는 것으로 한다. 이러한 마이크로 리액터는, 열전도율이 높고 열용량이 작은 금속기판을 사용하고 있으므로, 발열체로부터 담지촉매에의 열의 전달효율이 높게 되고, 또한 금속기판의 가공이 용이하여, 제조가 간편하게 된다.
