The present invention is a deformable intraocular lens (54) by way of a relatively small incision in the eye tissue in surgical implant (10) for insertion into the eye, and a terminal contact portion (58b) of the deformable intraocular lens 54 without damage during insertion a lens having a plunger 16 with the plunger front end portion 20 between the lens insertion path (P) and the plunger tip portion 20 passing through the implant 10, the surgical formed to provide a side clearance to accommodate the and a syringe (13).
