PURPOSE: A polymer dispersed liquid crystal(PDLC) is to provide a wide viewing angle, to improve light utilization efficiency without utilizing a polarizing plate and to eliminate an alignment process, thereby facilitating a manufacturing process. CONSTITUTION: A polymer dispersed liquid crystal composition is prepared which is composed of 1 to 40 wt% of acrylate-series monomer-oligomer comprising a crosslinking agent, 0.1 to 20 wt% of diacrylate derivative monomer having a structure similar to that of a liquid crystal to be added, 0 to 20 wt% of a cholesteric liquid crystal and 50 to 98wt% of a nematic liquid crystal. A small amount of UV initiator is added to the composition to polymerize it, thus obtaining the PDLC. The PDLC is injected between the glass plates with a coating of indium tin oxide thereon, and is exposed to UV radiation to cure it. When the UV curing is completed, the PDLC develops a focal-conic structure, so that a liquid crystal cell becomes opaque, whereas the cell turns into a homeotropic state and it becomes transparent when an electric field is applied thereto.

目的:聚合物分散液晶(PDLC)是提供广阔的视角,提高光的利用效率而不使用偏光板,消除对准过程,从而便于制造过程。 构成:制备聚合物分散液晶组合物,其由1〜40重量%的包含交联剂的丙烯酸酯系单体低聚物,0.1〜20重量%的具有与液晶相似结构的二丙烯酸酯衍生物单体 添加0〜20重量%的胆甾型液晶和50〜98重量%的向列型液晶。 向组合物中加入少量的UV引发剂以使其聚合,从而获得PDLC。 将PDLC注入玻璃板之间,在其上涂覆氧化铟锡,并暴露于紫外线辐射以使其固化。 当UV固化完成时,PDLC产生聚焦圆锥结构,使得液晶单元变得不透明,而电池变成垂直状态,并且当施加电场时它变得透明。
