A purpose of the present invention is to provide a resin composition for sealing an organic EL display element capable of obtaining an organic EL display element having excellent display performance by being used as a peripheral sealing agent for an organic EL display element. Another purpose of the present invention is to provide a cured product of the resin composition for sealing an organic EL display element, and an organic EL display element having the cured product. The present invention is a resin composition for sealing an organic EL display element containing a polyolefin, a curable resin, a polymerization initiator, and/or a thermal curing agent, wherein the area reduction rate 1 of the resin composition for sealing an organic EL display element after immersing a 5-mm long, 4-mm wide, 10-μm thick glass substrate coated with the resin composition for sealing an organic EL display element for three hours at 40°C in a liquid resin composition 1 consisting of only 70 weight parts of an epoxy compound represented by formula (1), 30 weight parts of an oxetane compound represented by formula (2), 1.5 weight part of dimethylphenyl(4-methoxybenzyl)ammonium hexafluoroantimonate, and 0.2 weight part of benzylamine, the area reduction rate 2 of the resin composition for sealing an organic EL display element after immersing the above glass substrate for three hours at 40°C in a liquid resin composition 2 consisting of only 70 weight parts of an epoxy compound represented by formula (3), 30 weight parts of an oxetane compound represented by formula (2), 1 weight part of triphenyl sulfonium trifluoromethanesulfonate, 0.5 weight part of 4-isopropyl-4'-methyldiphenyliodoniumtetrakis(pentafluorophenyl)borate, and 0.2 weight part of benzylamine, and the area reduction rate 3 of the resin composition for sealing an organic EL display element after immersing the above glass substrate for three hours at 40°C in a liquid resin composition 3 consisting of only 70 weight parts of an epoxy compound represented by formula (3), 20 weight parts of an oxetane compound represented by formula (2), 10 weight parts of diethylene glycol diglycidyl ether, 1.5 weight part of dimethylphenyl(4-methoxybenzyl)ammonium hexafluoroantimonate, and 0.2 weight part of benzylamine are all 5% or less.
