In a torque sensor for detecting a torsional torque about the torsion bar axis which occurs between the first and second rotational axes which are coaxially connected via a torsion bar, the sensor unit (10) comprises at least one coil ( and 11 and 12), the first magnetic response member coupled to the first rotary shaft (3) comprises a second magnetic response member coupled to a second rotary shaft (4), first and second the inductance change in response to the relative rotational positions of the second rotation shaft configured to cause the said coil. Coil of the sensor section (10) (11, 12) is in self-excited oscillation circuit (30a) in including the inductance element and a capacitor, incorporated as the inductance element for the self-oscillation. And it outputs a torque detection signal based on the amplitude level of the oscillation output signal of 該自-excited oscillation circuit (30a).
