肥満の治療薬のスクリーニング等をはじめとする化合物の評価において、Slc25a10遺伝子又はタンパク質の被検組織又は被検細胞における発現レベルや、当該遺伝子又はタンパク質の性質を利用して当該評価をする。肥満の検査において、Slc25a10遺伝子の発現量や当該遺伝子における多型等に基づいた検査をする。
