PURPOSE:To obtain highly efficiently a particle board, by providing a boxlike chase with an upper bottom having a plurality of vents so as to make the bottom structure double, introducing wood chips coated with an adhesive onto the upper bottom, and forcing hot air into the part between the lower bottom and the upper bottom of the double structure while the wood chips are pressed from the upper surface by a dropped lid having vents. CONSTITUTION:The bottom of the boxlike chase 3 is formed into the double bottom 2, the upper bottom is provided with the vents 6 uniformly, and the side wall is provided with an air port 1 for introducing hot air into the double structure 2. Wood chips coated with an adhesive are introduced on the upper bottom, a lid 4 having a plurality of the vents 7 is dropped on the wood chips, and the wood chips are squeezed from the upper surface by a press 5. At the same time, hot air is introduced through the port 1. Thus, the hot air is fed to the wood chips throughout to heat them and the vapors from the adhesive can be exhausted efficiently.
