PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carrying out a different operation for each condition having a high oxygen concentration, a high CO2 concentration and a high concentration of a volatile organic gas in a storage section by using an absorption tower filled with a nitrogen absorbent. SOLUTION: Storage of fruit vegetables under environmental control is carried out by a system which can adjust the concentrations of oxygen, CO2 gas and a volatile organic substance in a storage section by changing an absorption time of one kind of an absorption tower. The system is provided with a cooling tube for cooling an exhaust gas by the chilled air from the storage section and a drain pot for recovering the water condensed by the cooling tube at the exhaust gas side of a vacuum pump for producing a reduced pressure condition.
