PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system, modulating an X-ray tube current supplied to an X-ray source, which can improve diagnostic quality of an image also reduce exposure dosage of a patient. SOLUTION: In an X-ray CT system, an X-ray tube current is modulated as a function of a gantry angle and reconstruction algorithm in a single form. A view index 50 is left as stored in a table 52 during scanning, a value from this table 52 is periodically read, and a weight coefficient is determined. Algoritlun is applied relating to the weight coefficient, an X-ray tube modulation factor is generated. Next, this modulation factor is applied for the X-ray tube current, a modulated X-ray tube current is generated.
