摘要：
PURPOSE: To strip surface oxide layers of silica, etc., from ceramic fibers consisting essentially of silicon, nitrogen and carbon and to enhance the rupture resistance of the fibers by bringing the fibers into contact with hydrofluoric acid. CONSTITUTION: Ceramic fibers consisting essentially of silicon, nitrogen and/or carbon are brought into contact with hydrofluoric acid (preferably an aqueous solution of HF) preferably for 5-5 hrs at 20-30 deg.C.
