A production facility operating method according to the present invention is for operating a plurality of similar production facilities that are installed at a plurality of production sites, the method comprising: a data information maintenance step for consolidating operational data sets of the production facility at each of the production sites; a data accumulation step for accumulating the operational data sets consolidated in the data information maintenance step into a computer disposed at a data accumulation location; a data analysis step for analyzing operating condition of each of the production facilities using the operational data accumulated in the data accumulation step; a data display step for displaying, on a display means disposed at each of the production sites, information pertaining to the operating conditions of the respective production facilities analyzed in the data analysis step; and a facility operation step for operating, from a first production site, a production facility disposed at a second production site in reference to the information displayed in the data display step.
