PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper booklet which can allow a transfer foil to be transferred stably and simply without any trouble, to the paper booklet such as passbook or passport, even when the transfer film with unsatisfactory foil slit separability is used, as well as a method of manufacturing the paper booklet and a transfer device. SOLUTION: The method of transferring the transfer foil 11 to the paper booklet 2 and also the transfer device are designed to transfer the transfer foil 11 to the paper booklet 2 using a continuous length transfer film 1 with the transfer foil 11 laminated on a base material film 10. The feature of the method is that an imaginary line L1 and a release tangential line L2 are set in non-parallel with each other and the release tangent line L2 is made an inclined side to an orthogonal part 5 with the binding part 3 of the paper booklet 2 and the imaginary line L1. Thus the base material film 10 is peeled starting with the orthogonal part 5 with a high degree of strength of the binding part 3 toward the turning-over part 4 with a low degree of strength, on the opposite side to the binding part 3. Consequently, it is possible to peel the base material film 10 starting with the side of the binding part 3 which can hardly tear. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
