摘要：
A device (10) used for treating an aneurysm (38) of a patient includes an expandible member. The embolization element (10) and the stent (14) are introduced into the vessel (36) leading to and communicating with the aneurysm (38). The embolization element (10) is directed into the aneurysm (38), with a stent (14) being located in the vessel (36) communicating with the aneurysm (38). In this manner, the stent (14) becomes compressed against the inner wall of the vessel (36) for anchoring the embolization element (10). The stent (14) can comprise a helical coil and the embolization element (10) can comprise a collapsible framework (12).
