摘要：
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an original reading device which makes operability well when performing rotation operation of an original pressing cover, performs well pressing an original to an original table by the original pressing cover, and can secure reading precision of the original image, and provide an image forming machine with the original reading device. SOLUTION: The machine individually and independently installs the original pressing cover 7 which presses the original by "sheet fixing method", and an original carrying unit 4 which carries the original by "sheet moving method", and at the same time, comprises a locking mechanism 8 which can switch a non-coupling condition and a coupling condition. An open operation is made possible by only the original pressing cover as the non-coupling condition when the original is placed by the "sheet fixed method".
