To provide an aqueous ink composition for writing utensils containing a pearl pigment which suppresses aggregation of the pearl pigment, suppresses generation of a hard cake containing the pearl pigment, is excellent in re-dispersibility of the pearl pigment settled with the lapse of time, and is excellent in temporal stability.SOLUTION: An aqueous ink composition for writing utensils contains acrylic silicone-based resin emulsion, a pearl pigment, non-association type alkali swellable (meth)acrylic emulsion, a dispersant, water, and an aqueous solvent.SELECTED DRAWING: None
