To provide a fuel oil composition for an internal combustion engine which satisfies combustion performance, used amount reducing performance, and environmental performance while fulfilling a requirement of very severe storage stability performance.SOLUTION: A fuel oil composition for an internal combustion engine comprises a heavy oil-cracked light oil fraction at 30.0 vol% or more and less than 70.0 vol% as a content based on a total amount of the composition, the fraction satisfying all of: (a) a sulfur content of 0.500 mass% or less; (b) a kinematic viscosity at 50°C of 10.0 mm2/s or more and 50.0 mm2/s or less; (c) a density at 15°C of 0.9900 g/cm3 or more and 1.0250 g/cm3 or less; (d) a residual carbon content of 1.0 mass% or less; and (e) an aromatic content of 70.0 mass% or more, the composition satisfying all of: (1) the sulfur content of 0.500 mass% or less; (2) the kinematic viscosity at 50°C of 10.0 mm2/s or more and 100.0 mm2/s or less; (3) a gross calorific value of 41,900 (kJ/L) or more; and (4) a CCAI of 865 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
