To provide a palm vein identification apparatus with a body temperature measurement function which authenticates the identity of a user and identifies the user with a feverish symptom.SOLUTION: A palm vein identification apparatus comprises: a housing; a palm vein photographing camera for photographing the vein in a palm region of a user in the housing; an infrared ray temperature sensor for detecting the temperature of the wrist of the user; an output device which outputs an image and/or sound; and a control device. The palm vein identification apparatus is configured such that the vein photographing camera, the infrared ray temperature sensor and the output device are electrically connected to the control device, the control device processes vein image data photographed by the vein photographing camera and temperature data detected by the infrared ray temperature sensor, and the output device outputs the processing result in either or both forms of the image or sound.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
