To provide a rotary type heat exchanger which achieves further improvement of heat transfer efficiency compared to prior arts.SOLUTION: A rotary type heat exchanger includes: a heat transmission cylindrical body 3 which is formed into a cylindrical shape capable of rotating around a center axis C and in which a first medium 11 can circulate at its interior and a second medium 12 having a temperature different from that of the first medium 11 can circulate at its exterior; a center member 2 provided at the radial inner side of the heat transmission cylindrical body 3 and fixed coaxially with the heat transmission cylindrical body 3; and an outer slide contact member 6 which slidably contacts with an outer peripheral surface of the heat transmission cylindrical body 3. The heat transmission cylindrical body 3 is supported in such a way so as to be rotatable relative to the center member 2 through bearings 17, 18 disposed at both axial end parts of the center member 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
