To provide an outdoor unit of an air conditioner that can perform cleaning action of a heat exchanger and energy-saving operation, and the air conditioner comprising the same.SOLUTION: An outdoor unit of an air conditioner comprises a compressor, a first heat exchanger and a second heat exchanger connected to the compressor, and an expansion valve arranged between the first heat exchanger and a second heat exchanger on the side opposite to the side of the compressor. The outdoor unit operates the second heat exchanger for receiving a refrigerant sent from the compressor, and the first heat exchanger for receiving the refrigerant sent from the second heat exchanger via the expansion valve, as a condenser and an evaporator respectively, and can execute cleaning operation action for returning the refrigerant sent from the first heat exchanger to the compressor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
